Supply Assets to Aave’s Mantle Market From Your Wallet
Supply a supported token to Aave’s Mantle V3 market from your wallet; aTokens track the position, while rates and withdrawals depend on pool liquidity.

To supply to Aave V3 on Mantle, connect your wallet to Aave’s interface, select the Mantle V3 market and submit a supply transaction for a supported token already on Mantle. The transaction moves the token into Aave’s pool and credits your wallet with an interest-bearing aToken. The market is specific to Mantle: an asset on Ethereum or another network is not available to supply until it reaches Mantle in the correct token form. If you need to move assets across networks, the mantle bridge article covers that transfer step in more detail.
Which Mantle lending market should you select?
Select Aave V3’s Mantle market in the interface and make sure your wallet is connected to Mantle. Aave operates separate markets on separate networks, with distinct pools and positions. Choosing an identically named asset in a market on another chain does not supply the asset to Mantle’s pool.
Check the market name, network and token symbol before confirming. A token’s ticker alone does not establish that it is the correct asset: tokens with similar names can have different contracts, issuers or underlying claims. Use the asset listed in the Mantle market’s supply table and verify the token details against a trusted source if you are unsure. The interface shows the assets currently available to supply; that list can change as market parameters change.
You also need MNT in the wallet for Mantle transaction fees. Your supply amount should leave enough to pay for the approval, if required, and the supply transaction. If your token is on another network, account for the separate cross-chain transfer and its fees before entering the supply flow.
How do you supply from a wallet?
Choose the supported asset and amount in Aave’s Mantle V3 interface, authorize the transfer if prompted, then confirm the supply transaction in your wallet. The exact prompts depend on the token and whether the wallet has already approved Aave to transfer it.
- Connect the wallet holding the token and select the Mantle V3 market.
- Choose the asset, inspect its supply details and enter an amount. Check the wallet balance and leave MNT available for network fees.
- Review the authorization request. An ERC-20 approval gives the protocol permission to transfer tokens up to the approved amount; some tokens and interface flows may support a signature instead.
- Confirm the supply transaction and wait for it to be recorded on Mantle. Check the resulting position in the interface or wallet.
An approval and a supply are different actions. An approval changes the token allowance; it does not itself deposit funds. If the interface asks for both, the wallet must confirm both. Read each request’s token, spender and amount. A signature can authorize a transfer without being a blockchain transaction, while an on-chain approval uses gas. Do not confirm a request whose details do not match the asset and action you selected.
What does a supplied position represent?
Aave credits aTokens, which represent your share of the supplied reserve and accrue the market’s supply yield. Their balance reflects both your principal and accrued interest. The supply rate is variable: it responds to borrowing demand and pool utilization, the share of supplied liquidity currently borrowed. It can rise or fall after you deposit, so a displayed rate is not a fixed return.
Supplying an asset and enabling it as collateral are related but distinct choices. Collateral can support borrowing, subject to that asset’s risk parameters, but a supply does not require you to borrow. If you enable collateral and later borrow, withdrawing collateral can reduce your position’s health factor, the measure of how close it is to liquidation. The market’s asset details show whether the reserve can be used as collateral and the relevant parameters. Do not infer collateral eligibility from a token being available to supply.
Incentive rewards, where offered, are separate from the pool’s supply interest. Treat the interface’s current rate and any listed rewards as snapshots: their availability and terms can change. A high rate alone does not describe the token’s issuer, peg, redemption terms or smart-contract risk.
What can limit a withdrawal?
You can request a withdrawal through the market interface, but the pool must have enough unborrowed liquidity to return the underlying asset. If other users have borrowed most of that reserve, a withdrawal may be limited until liquidity returns through repayments or new supplies. Supply caps can also prevent a new deposit when a reserve reaches its configured limit.
If the supplied asset backs an active borrow, withdrawing it may be restricted or may make the remaining position unsafe. Repay debt or add eligible collateral before reducing collateral that supports a loan. A supply-only position avoids that borrowing constraint, but it still depends on available pool liquidity and successful transactions on Mantle.
Before supplying, confirm the network and token contract, review the reserve’s current rate and collateral status, and consider whether you may need immediate access to the funds. The mechanics confirmed here are Aave’s Mantle V3 market, wallet authorization, pool supply and aToken accounting. Current rates, reserve caps, collateral settings, rewards and immediately available withdrawal liquidity are market-state details; verify them in the interface when you transact.
